Amy Charles, Adviser
Student media and student voices are why I teach. The world becomes a much more empowering, inspiring, and interesting place when we listen to the voices and ideas of young people. My students are innovative role models who make the world a better place with their insights and creativity. I hope their words, photography, and graphics educate and inspire you as much they educate and inspire me.
As we transition from our traditional monthly newsprint to our on-line version, I am excited to see how The Kilt staff rises to the challenge. As always, you can expect nothing but the most fair, ethical, and responsible student journalism possible. This new medium offers opportunities to innovate and connect in ways we have not done before. Look for expanded community coverage, real-time stories, and videos in addition to our well-balanced and well-written stories.
I have been advising this newspaper for 14 years, and before that, I was also a student journalist and editor of my high school newspaper.
