So You’re Dating a Swiftie

So+Youre+Dating+a+Swiftie

It’s no doubt that Taylor Swift is a force to be reckoned with. The sold-out shows, numerous popular hits, and name recognition are only a few examples of just how large her fanbase is–a good portion of which are in relationships. If you find yourself trying to find your Swiftie partner a gift, here are some Taylor references they might like.

“I want to wear his initial on a chain ‘round my neck chain ‘round my neck” -Call it What You Want

Initial name necklace. This one is a popular choice, and subtle! You can get these online, on Amazon or get them custom-made on Etsy. They are also available in stores like Target and Claire’s.

“Karma is my boyfriend” -Karma

A “karma” shirt for the Swiftie boyfriends will surely get a laugh.

“I like shiny things, but I’d marry you with paper rings” -Paper Rings

Fold your rings out of paper! Or twist them if you can’t figure it out. This is a viral lyric/song, so if your partner is a Taylor Swift fan, they will definitely get this reference.

“I love you to the Moon and to Saturn” -Seven

Get two charms; a Saturn charm and a Moon charm. You can find these on Amazon, or in craft stores like Joanns. Attach them to necklace/bracelet chains, or make them into a keychain attachment for both of you to keep!

You two are dancing in a snow globe, ’round and ’round” -You are in Love

Custom snow globe! Although possible to DIY, these are also available online at stores like Etsy. Imagine mini versions of you and your partner in a one-of-a-kind snow globe!

And I can’t let you go. Your handprint on my soul.” -Endgame

Grab some paper, paint, and a picture frame. With your choice of color, use the paint to create a handprint on a piece of paper and write the lyrics “and I can’t let you go. Your handprint on my soul” over the hand. Put it all in a frame and this makes an adorable DIY gift for your Swiftie.

“All along there was some invisible string tying you to me” -Invisible String

We’re big fans of DIY jewelry here. Similar to the paper rings mentioned previously, make your own bracelets! This would be cute and made with a string-like material such as embroidery thread, leather, wax rope, etc.! And of course, don’t forget to include a note with the lyrics to make sure the reference really sticks.
