With Halloween being on a Tuesday, it might be hard to go out, but stores, haunted houses, and movies will be open

Spirit Halloween

Spirit Halloween, officially founded in 1983, is out with new animatronics, like the fan favorite Emmeline. “Standing at 7 feet tall, get too close and she’ll fly forward at you with her lunging animation out to 44 inches and make you regret ever crossing her path!”

Haunted Houses

Not everything during Halloween time is fun and spooky! The people at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights were not having the best time with their haunted house. If you didn’t have the express pass you’d be in line for up to four hours!

Not everything is all bad! There were some haunted attractions such as The Last of Us. People enjoyed the realism of the game! And there are some great jump scares and amazing makeup on the scare actors.

Universal went all out on their gore and scares, which people very much appreciated.

This year’s event could have been better. Some people state that the lack of expansive scare zones (such as more unique and impressive haunted houses) throughout the park this year has been disappointing compared to other years.

Did you also know there are haunted houses near Renton? Georgetown Morgue Haunted House, Haunted Forest of Maple Valley, and Frighthouse Station just to name a few!

Haunted Forest of Maple Valley, 20821 Renton-Maple Valley Rd, Maple Valley, WA 98038

Georgetown Morgue Haunted House, 5000 E Marginal Way S, Seattle, WA 98134

Frighthouse Station, 626 E 25th St, Tacoma, WA 98421

Movie Theaters

Make sure to pay attention to the movie theaters! There are tons of horror movies and fan favorites returning such as The Exorcist, Hocus Pocus, and Coraline! And we must remember the new Five Nights at Freddy’s movie.

Costumes and Attractions

How could we forget Mickey’s not-so-scary Halloween for those who don’t like the scares, but love the feeling of fall and pumpkins? Go to the Oogie Boogie bash! Also in the Disney parks, They have trick or treating and the villains have their debut celebrating Halloween.

Keep trick or treating in mind because here are some trending costumes for this Halloween including Barbie, Taylor Swift, and the Little Mermaid to name a few! Fun fact the #1 most-worn Halloween costume is the witch!
