Every year, thousands of people flood the parks of Universal Studios to participate in spooktacular activities. This year is no different, except it is. Many park visitors would say that this year, these houses are destined to be the scariest and goriest walk-throughs Halloween horror nights has ever had. For context, Universal Studios in Hollywood, California, Orlando, Florida, Japan, and Singapore participate in a seasonal event called Halloween Horror Nights. It’s a series of weekends over September and October, where at night, the park you once knew to be light-hearted and fun transforms into a spooky, haunting sight. Eight to ten haunted houses are open, each with a different theme related to movies or monsters.
Many park goers would ask what makes this year’s houses so scary? What’s the difference compared to past years? Halloween Horror Nights has collaborated with one of the most popular slashers of the modern era. This person is…Art the Clown, a clown with demon-like characteristics whose sole purpose is to prey on the innocent. His presence will be known when the popular horror franchise Terrifier makes its debut this year at Universal Studios’ parks. The creators of the franchise and park supervisors are collaborating to create a Terrifier Haunted House that is promised to leave many scarred.
The information provided states that this house will be Art’s paradise, as his demented personality and gruesome kills will leave many speechless as he spreads mayhem. You’ll be walking through and seeing his many popular kills throughout all three movies. From scenes like the naughty potty and the clown cafe, this house brings all the screams. Many would call this a dream come true. Art the Clown has a huge fanbase and strikes many hearts, literally. His fans are overjoyed by the recognition he and the Terrifier franchise are finally receiving, but that’s not all. Art the clown will be a scare actor that wanders the park in several areas on the hunt for his next victim…
The excitement doesn’t end there; there is one more house that will leave a great impact on many. The house featured has a huge fanbase that is all connected by four animatronics, but one is really the showstopper. Known for their delicious pizza and funhouse for the whole family, Five Nights at Freddy’s will be joining the Halloween Horror Nights lineup for 2025. The information shared about this house states that it will have a stage with real animatronics and several scenes from the games and movies that will be easily recognizable. From the pizzeria to the security room, this house will bring many fans together for a gruesome and gory experience that only true scare fans will enjoy.
These aren’t the only houses bringing the haunts; others include Fallout, Jason Universe, also known as Friday the 13th, WWE: The Horrors of the Wyatt Sicks, Poltergeist, Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America, and Scarecrow: Music by SLASH. Although these houses are the main ones in every location, larger parks, such as those in Orlando, Florida, will also include more houses. Such as Grave of Flesh, Hatchet & Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters, Dolls: Let/’s Play Dead, and El Artista: A Spanish Haunting.
With this frightful lineup, wait times are expected to be over an hour long. This year will be the one to end all others and give people the most horrific fright they’ve ever experienced.
